Amplifier® is a rapidly growing company in a brand new, 100K+ sq/ft warehouse in Austin, Texas. Located minutes from downtown, we are building a next-generation merchandising platform for the Internet’s most compelling communities. Amplifier blends order fulfillment, apparel manufacturing and personalization, and digital print-on-demand into a single service offering. 

Position Overview
Amplifier is looking for a Pad Printing Operator who will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality pad printed items as well as maintaining a clean and organized working environment in a timely fashion. This is an important role at Amplifier, and it is a great opportunity for the right person to learn valuable skills, including Pad Printing, Third Party Logistics and other manufacturing processes, and join a Team of highly motivated and driven individuals.

  • Independent operation and basic maintenance of pad printing equipment

  • Register and place print appropriately on substrates

  • Monitor print quality and make adjustments to the pad printing machine as necessary

  • Demonstrate problem solving prowess regarding on-machine trouble-shooting

  • Follow the direction of the Lead Operator and the Process Manager

  • Help break down jobs or help to prep materials for upcoming work

  • Ensure materials are cleaned and prepped for future work

  • Prepare materials for printing and mix ink while jobs are running on the machine

  • Safely place and remove printed materials from a hot oven

  • Engrave clichés using fiber laser equipment

  • Open and repackage products before and after printing

  • Clean ink cups, clichés, workspace, and workshop

  • Maintain an organized work flow of goods through our printing procedures

  • Track multiple jobs throughout production process and organize materials

  • Commitment to maintain high-level quality control

Required Skills

  • Printing experience; knowledge of some mechanical printing processes necessary

  • Applicants must have experience managing color, preparing inks, and registering artwork

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite

  • High-level attention to detail

  • Ability to identify areas of opportunities, work independently and demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong work ethic, including team and goal orientation

  • Self-motivated, positive attitude

  • Must be willing and able to gain proficiency in all aspects of our production facility

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of laser engraving

  • Working knowledge of pad printing processes & equipment

Physical Demands:

  • Stand and/or walk during shifts 8 hours long

  • Lift / move up 35 pounds

  • Lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts 8 hours long (flex and part-time shifts may vary)

  • Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists

Work Environment

  • Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts

  • Noise level varies and can be loud

  • Working nights, weekends, and/or holidays will sometimes be required

  • You may be required to cross-train and work in different areas of the operation.
